Most construction students actually work in the area of their career study, either part time or full time. This opportunity is unique to a city campus such as ours. Graduates find this in-school, "unofficial co-op" experience to be of tremendous advantage when seeking employment after graduation. Some construction organizations simply will not hire people who have not spent at least some summers in construction. We strongly advise, and try to help our majors to undertake, such vital experience-gathering activities.
