Department Objective
To educate professionals in all aspects of construction (from conception to completion) for responsible positions in the construction industry. Construction is essentially a service industry. It has the responsibility to convert engineers' and architects' plans and specifications into finished projects. These include buildings, bridges, highways, power plants and other constructed facilities. Constructing these projects involves thousands of details. It is a team effort. It involves owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, manufacturers, material suppliers, equipment distributors, governmental bodies and agencies, labor and other parties.
